This Privacy Policy describes how Sensorworks ("we", "us") collects and uses information when you use the fDeck mobile app ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to this policy.

The terms used here have the same meanings as in ourTerms of Use.

• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
• We collect only what is needed to operate and improve the App.

Information we process

Location

The App uses your device location for core functionality such as the flight deck, map, and navigation instruments. Location is processed on your device. We do not store your location on our servers.

When you use certain features, approximate location or map area is sent to third-party providers so those features can work. This includes weather and aviation weather (METAR/TAF), live traffic (ADS-B), and map tiles/overlays. Those providers process the data under their own privacy policies.

Device and diagnostic data

If the App encounters an error, diagnostic information may be sent to our self-hosted error-reporting service. This may include device type, operating system version, App version, a pseudonymous device identifier, and information about the error. This is used only to diagnose and fix problems.

Subscriptions and purchases

If you subscribe to fDeck Premium, subscription status is handled by Apple or Google. We receive information needed to confirm your subscription (such as purchase status and product identifiers). We do not receive or store payment card details.

Data stored on your device

The App stores data locally on your device, including your settings, navigation database, and any user-created navigation data you add.

Information you choose to send us

If you contact us (for example by email from the App), we receive the information you include in your message and any attachments you choose to send.

What we collect

• We collect analytics and usage metrics to operate and improve the App.

What we do not collect

• We do not use advertising networks or collect data for advertising purposes.
• We do not send marketing emails unless you contact us and we reply.

Third-party services

The App uses third-party services to provide its functionality, including:

• BugSink (self-hosted) — error reporting
• RevenueCat — subscription management
• Mapbox — map display
• OpenWeatherMap, AVWX, Tomorrow.io — weather and aviation weather data
• ADS-B Exchange (via RapidAPI) — live traffic data
• OpenAIP and other map data providers — aviation chart overlays

These services may process technical information such as IP address, device type, and approximate location as part of delivering their service. We choose providers that limit data use to providing the service.

Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to other sites

The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
